Have you heard of Stayne Thee Angel? If not, you will! These guys are going places! From Jacksonville, FL, STA is Brian "VictimEyez" on drums, Justin Watson on bass, George Whitaker on lead guitar and Darren Good as lead vocalist. Last month, they opened for Drowning Pool in Jacksonville. They had a July 5th show and rocked the house! In August, they have a show with hoobastank, Fuel, Alien Ant Farm and Manna Zen. Should be mind-blowing! My son is George Whitaker, or, as I call him, GJ. He is a very talented musician. He is self-taught and has been playing since he was a young teen-ager. He is very good. And from the looks of it, at least one of his daughters will follow in his footsteps! So, yea, Stayne Thee Angel... Check 'em out on Facebook, ReverbNation and YouTube. Join the STA Army! You're welcome.

Love Peace and Rock 'n Roll

Peace, Love & Rock 'n Roll....
These are a few of MY favorite things!
1960's and 70's music was full of messages about peace and love. In 1969, at the Woodstock festival, 32 acts performed for 400,00 + fans. And, of course, changed the history of Rock 'n Roll forever. And while serious social and political upheaval emerged, so did unity of thousands of the young people of America. 60's and 70's rock music also paved the way for the Civil Rights movement and the Anti-war movement.
"All we are saying... is give peace a chance!"
Give Peace a Chance was released in 1969 by, of course, John Lennon. Soon to follow were Peace Train (Cat Stevens -1971), Imagine (John Lennon -1971), Give Me Love ( George Harrison -1973) and a personal favorite of mine... War by Edwin Star in 1970. These artists, and so many more, truly believed in and strove for peace and love. Peace and love ... our ultimate weapons.

May 11th of this year, I found a lovely journal at the flea market. Beautifully quoted and illustrated, it is called "Journey to Wings ". I found this very appropriate because I was ready to start an adventure... a journey, if you will. So, I grabbed it ...YOINK! It spoke to me and I thought, "Here is where I will record my dreams, my thoughts, my inspirations. This book will be my new best friend." Two months to the day and ... the book is empty. BUT I did NOT put my hopes in the disappointment closet in the box of broken dreams. Nope! I began to make my dreams my reality. And when I say dream, I mean from since I was 10 , 11 years old. I have had 2 dreams. One was to publish a book by the time I was 40. That ... that time has long since come and gone! The other was to spend my time crafting and creating. And showing and sharing. But, that seemed next to impossible too. How could I fill a store, AFTER renting one, with handmade objects. Impossible! Until the internet and etsy! Now I'm living my dream every day. So come with me on my journey as I discover wonderful whimsical parts of life!!

Well, finally! I am about to become a "blogger "! This is new to me but very exciting! There are so many things I want and plan to share. I make a lot of crafts and will show you my creations. I hope you enjoy them. I love to give my crafts to people who appreciate them, so..
